Barry Smith’s remarkable knotted works are the result of over fifty years of experience in knot tying and leatherworking. He creates pieces that serve a purpose, using locally sourced, recycled materials—including rope from the National Wool Museum.

Barry has showcased his work at the National Wool Museum and regularly participates in gatherings with the International Guild of Knot Tyers in Australia. His works reflect the region’s history and identity, embodying the skills and traditions that define his practice.
