About Frank Kolosa:
James Street Gallery artist, Frank Kolosa has been a practising artist for the past 30 years. In addition to ceramics, he works in watercolour, acrylics and has a particular interest and mastery in Japanese Sumi-e painting.

After serious illness, Frank began attending the James Street Gallery supported studio where he has found a cherished art community. Since regularly attending the studio, he has made countless ceramic pieces of intricate design and structure. His works often resemble his Sumi-e paintings in 3D form. These candlesticks developed from a series of Christmas ornaments. Frank loves their texture, likening their indents to a record of his hands at work.
